Boundary Map and Absence Request

Summer programs participants are free to go anywhere within the boundaries set by the program. Participants may visit all restaurants within the boundary. 

Residential participants may never go outside the set boundaries without approval from the associate director.

Summer Programs Campus Boundary Map

All absence requests must be submitted through DocuSign for both commuter and residential students.

Absence requests are submitted by the student, then routed to the parent/guardian and approved by Sonny Hayes, the associate director of admissions and residential life for USC Pre-College Programs.

Notes for residential students:

  • Overnight absences are not permitted Sunday through Thursday. Students may not be checked out until after their class and must return to campus by 9:30 p.m.
  • Overnight absences are permitted on Friday (after class) and Saturday (morning departure).
  • Students may not use public transportation or car services such as Uber, Lyft or Waymo.
  • Checked-out students may not participate in weekend field trips.
  • USC Summer Programs is not responsible for students during approved program absences.
