Program Overview
“Multiplatform Sports Storytelling” focuses on all aspects of sports journalism, including podcasting, television, social media, photojournalism, sports writing and more.
Students will learn how to analyze games, interview athletes, produce segments and develop their own voices for written and on-air commentary.
The course emphasizes experiential learning and will combine hands-on, in-class assignments with field trips and in-studio production in the state-of-the-art Annenberg Media Center.
Students will learn from expert USC faculty and guest speakers from the sports and sports media industries. The coursework culminates in students producing their own sports journalism project.
